THERMOMECHANICAL TREATMENTS APPLIED TO ULTRA-HIGH STRENGTH STEELS.

Abstract

The investigation of the influence of thermomechanical treatments on the mechanical properties of high strength steels is being continued using 9% Ni, 4% Co steels. The variation of fracture toughness with processing conditions is of particular concern. The transformation character istics, tempering behavior and mechanical properties of undeformed microstructures are currently being studied. (Author)
