MATHEMATICAL EXPRESSIONS FOR THE GIMBAL ANGLES OF A ROLL STABLE PLATFORM,

Abstract

A method is presented for deriving mathematical expressions for the gimbal angles of a free gyro. The method is extended to include redundant gimbals. Equations are derived for a roll stabilized platform with gimbal drifts included, and a cursory error analysis is performed. (Author)
