FREQUENCY MULTIPLIER.

Abstract

A theoretical investigation of microwave frequency multipliers was performed, and the efficiencies calculated from various sources. An X-band breadboard source was designed and fabricated and yielded 9.2 Gc output from a 5.111 Mc crystal oscillator. This design included both transistor and varactor multipliers. A varactor frequency doubler from 10.65 to 21.30 Gc was also designed, and a breadboard fabricated. In addition, the use of both varactors and varistors was investigated in frequency multiplication up to 100 Gc. (Author)
