INDIVIDUAL BASELINE BEHAVIOR IN A SMALL GROUP ON A CHAINED SCHEDULE OF REINFORCEMENT,
Abstract
Three female subjects (Ss) were used to establish baselines for a chained differential reinforcement of law rates (DRL) fixed ratio (FR) schedule of verbal responding. It was found that such baselines could be acquired and maintained under experimental stimulus control and could be shifted from one S to another. However, Ss whose reinforcements were non-contingent upon their own verbal behavior did not exhibit stable baselines within or between sessions. It was found that a DRL punishment contingency lowered response rates in the succeeding FR component. (Author)
