NONLINEAR SHELL MATRIX ANALYSIS.
Abstract
A computer program is presented for solving a large class of complex nonlinear shell problems. The nonlinearities are due to large deflection effects. Initial imperfect tions are included in the formulation. The computer program consists of the following parts; input, diagnostic, matrix setup, and matrix solution. The matrix is set up by integrating the shell equations. The nonlinear terms are treated in a separate matrix. The solution is carried out in a step-by-step method. Examples are given to illustrate the methods and the computer program with recommendations given for increasing the capability of the latter. (Author)
