NOISE IMMUNITY OF TELEVISION SYSTEMS RANDOM NOISE IN TELEVISION,

Abstract

The book examines the problems of the occurrence of random noise in television systems and its passage through the amplification channel. On the basis of the statistical structure of the signal and the noise, as well as of the basic parameters of the television system, there is developed an expression for the noisiness of the picture with the aid of which it is possible to uniquely determine the visibility of noise in the picture. The book examines the effect of noise on the observability of small details in the picture and particularly the effect on the resolution of the television system. It is intended for engineers working in the field of television and radar who are acquainted with the basic tenets of probability theory. (Author)
