THE VALIDITY OF AGE, EDUCATION, AND GCT SCORE AS PREDICTORS OF TWO-YEAR ATTRITION AMONG NAVAL ENLISTEES,

Abstract

The relationships of the predictor variables of age, education, and GCT score and the criterion of two-year attrition were examined for a group of 1903 naval enlistees. Significant deviations from linearity were noted in the relationship of age and the attrition criterion. Tables showing the probability of two-year service retention were constructed from weighted combinations of GCT score and educational achievement for each of three age levels. (Author)
