THEORETICAL STUDY, SHIPBOARD DIRECTION FINDING ANTENNA ARRAY.

Abstract

The major conclusion that can be drawn from this study is that self-focusing, wide aperture, linear antenna arrays are feasible as shipboard direction finders. It has been found that wide aperture direction finding systems have decided advantages over narrow aperture systems, and a self-focusing or adaptive wide aperture system has an additional advantage in that it has a memory capability.
