DYNAMIC FORMULATION OF COEFFICIENT OF RESTITUTION

Abstract

The paper is concerned with the preparation of a mathematical model involving collisions between two bodies and the subsequent analog computer program. It considers a fictitious damped spring as a coefficient of restitution generator'. Formulae are derived for spring stiffness and the viscous damping in both one and two degrees, of freedom.
