SENSITIVITY CHARACTERISTICS OF LIQUID EXPLOSIVE SYSTEMS.

Abstract

Emphasis was placed on developing new techniques for continuously following the development of both high velocity and low velocity detonations. Probes were devised to distinguish between inert shocks and reaction pressure waves in the liquid. A shock sensitivity scale for comparing casting solvents was established with the nitroglycerinethyleneglycol dinitrate (NG-EGDN)-triacetin (TA) system. (Author)
