CALCULATIONS OF SUPERSONIC FLOW PAST YAWED CONES BY THE METHOD OF INTEGRAL RELATIONS,

Abstract

The method of integral relations, as applied to the yawed cone problem by Chushkin and Shchennikov, is modified to take account of the entropy singularity on the leeward side of the cone. It is proposed to apply the method in two regions, in the quadrant adjacent to the singular generator and in the remaining quadrant including the cone surface and the shock. Results are not yet complete but those obtained so far suggest that the modification will give a more realistic picture of the flow between the cone and the shock. (Author)
