INVESTIGATION OF CONDENSING VAPOR LUBRICATED SELF-ACTING JOURNAL BEARINGS.

Abstract

A test program on steam-lubricated journal bearings was completed. Grooved and ungrooved bearings were operated over a range of superheat. Performance data were obtained, and the effects of clearance, geometry, load, and speed are discussed. (Author)
