ELECTRIC QUADRUPOLE-QUADRUPOLE INTERACTION IN CERIUM ETHYL SULFATE.

Abstract

Some EPR measurements on cerium ethyl sulfate are reported which show that in addition to the classical dipole-dipole interaction, there is between nearest neighbor ions a large interation which is believed to be due to quadrupole-quadrupole interaction.
