NUMERICAL SOLUTION TO THE FLOW OF A GASSOLID SUSPENSION THROUGH A NOZZLE.

Abstract

A method of numerical solution of the basic gas dynamic equations involving suspended solids is presented for the case of an arbitrary area distribution. The velocity of sound in the two-phase mixture was computed. The importance of the throat condition is clarified and the inadequacy of solutions without the throat condition is discussed. The numerical solution and the exact solution are presented for comparison. The complete program using the Runge-Kutta-Gill method is given in detail. (Author)
