THE LOGICAL STRUCTURE OF THE UTILITY CONCEPT,

Abstract

The paper points out that entirely aside from the 'psychological' nature of the concept, utility suffers from various syntactical and semantical infirmities which are quite enough to produce the confusion felt in dealing with it. It is intended as a preliminary 'clearing of the ground' for an analysis of rational individual decision on the basis of a 'pleasure-like' concept. (Author)
