A NOTE ON PLASTIC TORSION,

Abstract

The note presents numerical treatments of the torsion of a square rod for a material exhibiting strain hardening. Conclusions are drawn concerning the feasibility of the methods and a comparison is made between the deformation and flow theories. The latter theory is restricted to the special case of Laning's stress-strain relation. (Author)
