THE PROBLEM OF ROUTING AIRCRAFT, A MATHEMATICAL SOLUTION

Abstract

A method for assigning a given fleet of several different types of aircraft to carry an anticipated traffic load over several routes at minimum cost is presented and explained. The application of linear programming to transportation problems of this general type is illustrated.
