ON RADIATION OF ELECTROMAGNETIC AND ELECTROACOUSTIC WAVES IN PLASMA.

Abstract

Radiation from current distributions in a lossless compressible plasma media is considered. A linearized theory is used such that the isotropic electron plasma is regarded as a single fluid continuum. It is found that a considerable portion of the power is radiated as an electroacoustic type wave. Some specialized results of other investigators are recovered. (Author)
