A METHOD FOR EVALUATING A GENERALIZED FRESNEL INTEGRAL RELATED TO THE SPECTRA OF AMPLITUDE AND FREQUENCY MODULATED PULSES

Abstract

Asymptotic expressions for the Fourier spectra of pulses modulated by a carrier frequency plus linear FM are obtained for several pulse shapes, using an asymptotic series for the complex Fresuel integral. A geometric interpretation of the terms in this series is given.
