ON THE PROPAGATION OF FREE SOUNDWAVES IN RAREFIED GASDYNAMICS.
Abstract
A theory of sound propagation, employing general kinetic models, in an unbounded medium is presented. Numerical results for rigid sphere and Maxwell gas models are obtained. These are compared with already existing theories. (Author)
