AIR FORCE MATERIALS LABORATORY SOLID FILM LUBRICATION RESEARCH,

Abstract

The report outlines the general range of bearing lubrication requirements of present aerospace vehicles as well as briefly describes the range of requirements anticipated for future Air Force weapon systems. Some of the Air Force Materials Laboratory sponsored programs designed to meet these requirements are discussed in detail. This report covers only those concerned with solid film lubrication and contains discussion of both development-type programs and related basic or fundamental-type programs.
