THE OPS-1 MANUAL,

Abstract

The recent attainment and continuing development of personally accessible computer facilities have opened another chapter in the use of machines by man. A number of current research efforts, including Project MAC at M.I.T., are designing new conceptual systems to adapt the emerging technology to a wide range of human activity. Activities relating to management are the concern of a trial system at Project MAC called OPS-1. The OPS-1 system and the experiment that launched it are described in the manual. (Author)
