GEM PROPULSION SYSTEM STUDY.

Abstract

The study effort investigated three areas: (a) design fabrication, and test of a fan that is suitable for most Ground Effect Machines; (b) comparative study of base jetnozzle geometries; (c) comparison of the pneumatic interconnection between the fan and the base jet nozzles. An important improvement in internal efficiency can be achieved with the proper integration of these three factors, combined with the vehicle design necessary to perform the required mission.
