GENERAL SYSTEMS APPROACHES TO TELECOMMUNICATION OPTIMIZATION PROBLEMS,

Abstract

Linear programming and dynamic programming techniques are used to treat large scale communication system optimization problems at the system level in a straightforward and computationally feasible manner. Treatments for communication system extension problems and for equipment replacement policies are provided. Various generalizations are indicated.
