A NELIAC PROGRAM FOR CALCULATING SPHEROIDAL WAVE FUNCTION EIGENVALUES AND EXPANSION CONSTANTS.

Abstract

A digital computer program, written in the Neliac dialect of Algol, for the computation of spheroidal wave function eigenvalues and expansion constants is presented in this report. A brief explanation of the program is made by listing all of the formulas used in its construction and by indicating in the body of the program the sets of commands corresponding to each formula in the list. The program shown has been compiled by the Neliac-N compiler on the NAREC and has worked successfully for the following ranges of input parameters: 0< m < 10, 0 < l < 20, 0 < h < 20, with a precision of at least six significant digits.
