OPTIMAL MATCHING OF NONLINEAR N-PORT NETWORKS,

Abstract

The classical calculus of variations is applied to find the conditions for maximum energy transfer in nonlinear nport networks. The general matching problem is discussed, and the sufficient conditions for the optimal load network are given in terms of the time domain behavior of the network. The optimal match for a tunnel diode is given as a specialization of the general results. (Author)
