AN EXTENSION OF DASHER SYNTHESIS,

Abstract

A study is given of conditions under which a specified nonminimum phase transfer function may be realized as a cascade of common terminal RC structures, each of which realizes a pair of complex zeros. Specifically, conditions are derived which must be satisfied by a driving point admittance if a section producing a pair of zeros in a portion of the right half-plane is to be removed and an RC function is to remain. The simplest section parameters consistent with this objective are chosen and inequalities are derived which assure positive solutions for the unspecified constants. A technique is also derived for the conversion of the complete admittance description of a common terminal section to a physical network based on node insertion in the admittance matrix and sufficient inequalities are given.
