AN INVESTIGATION OF THE MANAGEMENT CONTROL SYSTEM OF THE STRATEGIC AIR COMMAND

Abstract

The purpose of this investigation and analysis is: (1) to describe the scope and operation of the Management Control System as used by the Strategic Air Command and the Tactical Air Command; (2) to outline the requirements of each of these commands for an integrated control system; (3) to appraise the efficiency and effectiveness of the Management Control System; (4) to examine the applicability of the system to other organizations; and (5) to suggest possible refinements and corrections to the system.
