APPLICATION OF PERCEPTRONS TO PHOTOINTERPRETATION.
Abstract
This report covers a continuing research program directed at the development of techniques for automatic recognition of features in photographs. The research emphasis was on preprocessing of original imagery to take advantage of present state-of-the-art capability in automatic pattern recognition. During the course of this period the four areas of technical concentration were (1) whole-photo classification, (2) object detection, (3) recognition, (4) system implementation.
