FREQUENCY CONVERTER UNITS FOR L-BAND, S-BAND, C-BAND, AND X-BAND.
Abstract
Improvements were made on the L-band double-balanced converter to provide some margin over the specification. Tests of the up and down converter at full signal level were also conducted. Fabrication of two versions of an S-band converter was completed. Tests show that both units are promising and it should be possible to achieve all specifications with one or the other soon. Development work on the X-band double-balanced converter has proceeded with design, fabrication and testing of components. Investigations of the spurious frequency output of the L-band converter were conducted and it was concluded that performance is satisfactory.
