THE ANALYSIS OF VARIABLE RELUCTANCE TRANSDUCERS: THE CLASSICAL METHOD,

Abstract

The operating equations of a variable reluctance transducer are derived in this report through the application of classical electromagnetic theory. These equations are formulated in terms of inductance and a quantity called the the electrical force factor. The basic equations are shown to be nonlinear, and a set of approximate linear equations is derived for a special class of inputs. (Author)
