MODULUS OF ELASTICITY OF TI-8AL-1MO-1V TITANIUM ALLOY,

Abstract

The potential extensive applications of 8Al-1Mo-1V titanium alloy to major aircraft structures suggests that its properties be well substantiated. Several tests were therefore made to establish accurate values for the modulus of elasticity for this material. Data from three different sources, the majority of which was obtained with highly sensitive optical strain gages are reported. (Author)
