THE EQUATION OF STATE OF HYDROGEN AT HIGH PRESSURES,

Abstract

The equation of state of hydrogen is examined for P > 2,000,000. atm. At 2,400,000 atm. there exists a transition from the molecular to the atomic modification accompanied by a discontinuous increase in the density from 0.621 g/sq.cm. to 1.12 gm/sq.cm. The limits of applicability of the calculations are explored. (Author)
