FLOW-VISUALIZATION TECHNIQUES USED IN FULLSCALE FLIGHT TESTS.

Abstract

This report presents a description and evaluation of various flow visualization techniques that are now available for use in full-scale flight. The techniques described are adequate to give the aerodynamicist a good idea of the surface flow conditions as well as the potential flow field around and behind aircraft as a function of time.
