NONLINEARITIES IN THE STEADY-STATE OPERATION OF THE PENDULOUS INTEGRATING GYRO ACCELEROMETER,

Abstract

The purpose is to present the development of equations of motion which describe the operation of the pendulous integrating gyro accelerometer. The degree of complexity which these equations may assume is limited primarily by one's diligence in detailing all the various effects known to influence accelerometer operation. In order to highlight the effect of servo stiffness, input motor axis misalignments, and gyro rotor misalignments on accelerometer linearity, other effects, although perhaps equally or more important, are neglected.
