A LOW SPEED WIND TUNNEL FOR MEASURING THE EFFECT OF WIND ON BUOYANT DIFFUSION FLAMES,

Abstract

The purpose of the equipment described in this paper is to provide the environment necessary to study the behavior of flames from liquid pools under the influence of wind. The equipment includes a wind tunnel with supporting blower, appropriate calming section, and observation and control room; the burner trays; and a fuel delivery system. The design of the tunnel and equipment is based on information available in the literature.
