FATIGUE OF ANTIMONY-CESIUM PHOTOCATHODES,

Abstract

The article describes experiments showing that antimonycesium vacuum photocathodes display, in addition to high integral sensitivity, extremely low fatigue under the con ditions characteristic of prolonged operation (for example, in sound films); the variations in spectral response occurring as a result of fatiguing are described, and a new parameter is proposed permitting comparison of phototubes with respect to fatigue.
