A STUDY OF FATIGUE IN SILVER-OXYGEN-CESIUM PHOTOCATHODES

Abstract

The article gives experimental results on fatigue of silver-oxygen-cesium photocathodes that do not correspond to existing ideas as to the naturre of this phenomenon. There are indications that a major role is played here by volume changes in the oxygen-cesium films due to the effect of illumination.
