DETERMINATION OF THE DRIFT DIRECTION AND VELOCITY OF IONOSPHERIC WINDS OVER PUERTO RICO.

Abstract

The computer program herein described was developed from a method of E. Harnischmacher of the Ionospharen Institut at Breisach who analyses ionospheric wind data automatically upon reception to obtain drift direction and velocity. It is a method based essentially on the concept of similar fades. The results represented are obtained from E layer reflections over Puerto Rico for the years 1958-1959. (Author)
