A PROCEDURE FOR ESTIMATING DOWNWIND DEPOSITION OF SMALL SPRAY DROPLETS

Abstract

A procedure is described for estimating the amount and the extent of downwind deposition of liquid spray droplets in the 10-200 micro diameter range in terms of mass per area. The approach is based on Stokes' Law and an assumed drop-size distribution. A sample solution of a practical problem follows the theoretical discussion.
