STUDY OF TECHNIQUES FOR COMPUTER PROCESSING OF TELEMETERED SIGNALS FROM ROCKET AND SATELLITE BORNE SPECTRA.

Abstract

A description of the work accomplished under this contract which was initiated 15 March 1961 and ended 14 March 1964 is given. Efforts included work associated with the processing of telemetered signals from rocket-borne and air-borne spectra. The report presents the results of analytical studies, modifications, and calibrations carried out on a number of electrooptical instruments, including Ebert Spectrometers and various special photometers. In addition, a mirror aiming device for installation aboard a KC-135 aircraft, designed and constructed under the contract is outlined. Participation by Foundation personnel in various field exercises, including Project Flashlight, Project Fishbowl and the 1963 Solar Eclipse is discussed. (Author)
