KINETICS OF PROTEIN SYNTHESIS BY POLYRIBOSOMES,

Abstract

The report investigates the kinetics of polyribosome mediated protein synthesis. A fairly general but still tractable deterministic linear model is presented which allows for messenger RNA sources of arbitrary functional form and also takes into account any deterioration of the messenger RNA which may occur during the course of protein synthesis.
