TRANSIENT REFLECTION AND TRANSMISSION OF A PLANE WAVE NORMALLY INCIDENT UPON A SEMIINFINITE ANISOTROPIC PLASMA,

Abstract

General solutions for the transmitted and reflected waves in integral form are obtained for a plane wave of arbitrary time dependence, normally incident upon a semiinfinite, cold, collisionless, homogeneous, anisotropic ionized medium. The special case of an isotropic plasma with an incident wave of harmonic time dependence is also investigated. (Author)
