STUDY OF THE MECHANISM OF FAILURE OF ROCKET MATERIALS.

Abstract

A study was made of failure mechanisms of solid propellant rocket materials. Nozzles tested by Thiokol Chemical Corporation are considered in this report. Results of metallographic and X-ray diffraction analyses are presented for the siliconized graphite nozzles fired under Phase I. (Author)
