PERFORMANCE AND APPLICATION OF A DOUBLEBEAM INFRARED SPECTROPHOTOMETER IN THE REGION 350 TO 50 CM(-1).

Abstract

A discussion is presented of calibration and performance of a far infrared double-beam spectrophotometer in the region 350 to 50 cm(-1). The spectrum of the pure rotational absorption bands of water vapor as recorded with a Perkin-Elmer Model 301 is shown for this region. The work also reports the results of an application study of the far infrared to organic compounds of various classes. Included were a small number of inorganic oxides. (Author)
