TOXIC VAPOR INDICATORS.

Abstract

Results are presented of work performed in the development of thin film sensors for the detection of low concentrations of nitrogen tetroxide and fluorine. The effect of temperature and humidity on the response rates of the films is presented. Responses, in terms of increase in sensor resistance, of several percent per minute have been obtained for concentrations below 1 ppm. Based upon the results a laboratory model of a personnel dosimeter for nitrogen tetroxide and fluorine was built and submitted for field tests. (Author)
