GROUND MOTIONS RESULTING FROM NUCLEAR SURFACE DETONATIONS,

Abstract

Designers of underground structures require data concerning loads imposed on such structures by ground motions. Ground motion data is frequently presented in terms of ground shock spectra. Shock spectra can be determined experimentally or analytically. The paper presents an approximate analytical model. Results obtained from this model are compared with limited experimental results and are in reasonable agreement. (Author)
