EXPLOSIVE MAGNETOHYDRODYNAMICS.

Abstract

Experimental and theoretical studies of explosive driven MHD generators are reported. Experimental studies in a 1 x 4 inch linear channel covered explosive charge geometry effects, various seed materials, plasma conductance, and a determination of the plasma inductance. A radial explosive driven MHD generator experiment is described and theoretical relations are developed. (Author)
