SEVERAL MODELS OF SIX DEGREE OF FREEDOM EQUATIONS OF MOTION FOR A BALLISTIC MISSILE

Abstract

Presented in this report are total and perturbation six degree of freedom equations of motion and their derivations. Magnus force and moment were considered negligible and not included in this derivation, however, when desired they can be incorporated in the existing models. Definitions of control force, gravity, thrust and damping terms are presented in general form so that various control schemes and particular functions of the terms can be utilized without extensive modification to the equations of motion. These equations may be programmed on a large scale digital or analog computer. (Author)
