ON THE STATE OF THE CARDIOVASCULAR SYSTEM UNDER CONDITIONS OF EXPOSURE TO CONTINUOUS NOISE,

Abstract

The mechanization and automation of many industrial processes often involves intense noise. According to available data in the literature, noise has a deleterious effect upon, primarily, the state of hearing and the nervous system. Depending on the nature of the industrial noise and the duration of work under conditions of noise exposure, auditory impairment may develop to the point of 'hardness of hearing'. Since the state of the cardiovascular system in persons working under conditions of industrial noise is a question of important theoretical and practical interest, and one that is still inadequately examined, a study was made of two groups of workers subjected to the influence of continuous noise.
